1. Shiva devotion
                              

Aghori Sadhus belong to the Shaiva sect, i.e. they are the worshippers of Lord Shiva. They believe that Shiva is the only power that controls the world and is the ultimate destination of Nirvana.
2. Universal medicine
Aghoris believe that they have a cure to all the ailments and diseases of the humans. They extract special oils from the dead human corpses and make medicines out of them, usually believed to be effective.
3. Survival in harsh conditions
The Aghori Sadhus are one of the toughest people on earth. They can survive scorching heat of the plains and freezing cold temperatures of the snow clad Himalayas without any covering on their body.

                               


4. No distractions
There is a reason why Aghoris remain filthy and dirty. They believe that in order to reach the ultimate almighty, one must not get distracted by small things like cleaning up or covering bodies with material. This is the reason that they do not cut their hair as well.
5. Meditation over corpses
After entering a state of trance due to the chanting of mantras, the Aghori Sadhus sit over the dead corpses in the cremation grounds and meditate there for such areas serve as a pathway to the celestial.
