EXCLUSIVE! Mohit Raina to make a comeback as Lord Shiva with Devon Ke Dev Mahadev Season 2?


                                        

Devon Ke Dev Mahadev was one show that worked wonders for Mohit Raina’s career and Life OK’s ratings. A little birdie tells us that the channel is planning to bring back the show with an all new season. A source confirmed that Mohit has even signed the contract for the show. Now nothing is going to make fans as happy as this. The same makers who made the first season will be producing the second season, too. In fact, the production work is all set to begin this month and the shoot will start from next month.


Though makers are keen on getting Mouni Roy back in the show, her upcoming film Gold and her commitment to Naagin 3 are making it difficult for the actress to consider it. Well, considering their equation in real life and their famous stint as Shiv-Sati in the first season, we would really love to see these two back onscreen. We also hear that the channel is going on a full revamp mode and will be introducing quite a lot of new shows which will strike a chord with the audience. So most of the current shows will give away to new set of shows. It’s been said that Devon Ke Dev Mahadev season 2 will take the same slot of 8 PM when it was launched.
                             
 
Among the existing shows Har Mard Ka Dard is already going off-air. Next on line is Chandrakanta Prem Ya Paheli which is a finite series. Ghulaam is the only show that is working for the channel, in terms of ratings. Along with Mahadev, many other new set of shows will be launched to give Life OK. Devon Ke Dev Mahadev was launched in December 2011 with the launch of Life OK which was a revamped version of Star One. It ran till 2014 for almost three years with interesting twists and turns. The show was dubbed in all Indian languages plus had a successful run in Indonesia as well.

Mahadev was a big launch for Mohit Raina a newcomer who became an overnight sensation. Mohit played various important roles in the show apart from playing the lead role. Though he also did Chakravartin Ashok Samrat after Mahadev, the image of him as Lord Shiva seemed tough to break. We wonder what new the makers will bring with the new season.
