Who was the great devotee of Shiva, Ravana, Nandi or Lord Vishnu?

Lord Vishnu 'is the greatest devotee of' Lord Shiva '! However everyone fails to acknowledge this! Let me explain you why he is the greatest devotee?!



The person on the right is 'Lord Parashurama' He was and is an ardent devotee of Lord Shiva. When 'Adharma' was on the rise Lord Vishnu decided to incarnate as an Avatar for all the wrong things happening on the planet! Thus he incarnated as Lord Parashuram! He was trained by none other than Lord Shiva in warfare! He was such a great devotee that Shiva gifted him many of his powerful 'Astra' and 'shashtra'. He has worshiped Lord Shiva all his life to point out that he addresses everyone with 'Nam Namah Shivay'!


He is 'Lord Rama' another incarnation of Lord Vishnu. He has been a Shiva all his life! Before the war, Lord Rama has always prayed for Lord Shiva for power! Even before becoming the King of Ayodhya, he did Shiva worship to his homage to Lord Shiva! During his Vanvaas he used to do Shiva Pooja every single day!



He is Lord Krishna another incarnation of Lord Vishnu Lord Krishna has always paid homage to Lord Shiva! It is believed that during Mahashivaratri, Lord Krishna used to perform a great penance on Lord Shiva and used to take blessings directly from him!



Thus in every and every incarnation of Lord Vishnu, he has always been a devout of Shiva and that too an ardent one!


Lord Vishnu through his incarnations has always talked about the greatness of Lord Shiva and has asked him to worship him!


Though being one of the Ultimate Gods and the ruler of all the universes, He still bows his head down to Lord Shiva. It is enough to prove that Lord Vishnu is the great devotee of Lord Shiva !!

The story of Kalima begins with Lord Shiva telling Parvati Mata (One of the forms of Durga) that he needs to go and meditate. Soon after Lord Shiva leaves, the King of the Rakshasa arrives asking for the blessings of Lord Shiva and Mata Parvati. The Rakshasa are very devoted followers of Lord Shiva so she tells him that Lord Shiva is meditating however, he can have her blessings as long as he does not break any of the rules of war.
